Palliative Care services in Barbados are primarily provided in the community setting using a holistic multi-disciplinary approach. Services cater to both patients and their families who face challenges associated with life threatening illnesses (cancer and non-cancer illness). Our aim is compassionate care through what may be a difficult illness journey focusing on life and alleviating suffering in all its forms. Our care extends into the period of bereavement with hands and hearts that support at this time as well.
