About the Event

The country, and the world, is at war. War against the virus SARS-CoV-2 that causes Coronavirus Disease 2019 or “COVID-19”.

We are aware of the challenges we are all facing with the rapid spread of the Coronavirus and the need for containment in our society. It is a difficult time for everyone, but we recognize the importance of the health and safety of our communities.

The End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) is a collaboration between City of Hope, Duarte, CA and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Washington, DC. AACN is the driving force for innovation and excellence in academic nursing. Together with ELNEC members, AACN works to establish quality standards for nursing education; assists schools in implementing those standards; influences the nursing profession to improve health care; and promotes public support for professional nursing education, research, and practice.

We are happy to announce that we are hosting an ELNEC Webinar on "Coronavirus-19: A New Frontier in Palliative Care Nursing". The Webinar is carded for 27th April, 2020 at 1pm. This webinar is offered across the Caribbean for RNs, Clinicians, ENAs and students. This will be the first ELNEC Webinar in the region for Healthcare personnel on COVID 19. The participants will receive an ELNEC certificate. The webinar is hosted by DEYMAR Associates Ltd.

Our dedication to the community to provide high-quality care should not end despite the complications associated with this pandemic. But how? How can we stay dedicated, humanistic, and compassionate when we are stretched beyond the limits of what we can accomplish? These are the questions that the Webinar will be addressing. We encourage you to register for the webinar and spread this information among your colleagues and friends.

For those of you who are now required to work among both affected and non-affected patients, the ELNEC team extends its support to all providing palliative care. Make sure to take care of yourselves during this time.
